Irrigation activation: tip selection and the meaning of foaming

Doctor, regarding your ultrasonic activation video, I have an eighteeth ultra-x. I use it for activation, but the hypochlorite does not foam at all like yours. In the device’s promotional videos, there is also hypochlorite in a glass; when the ultrasonic tip enters it, the hypochlorite foams incredibly, but this never happens for me, even though I use a high setting. Why is that?

Translated version of the Turkish original

It is related to the amount of hypochlorite. Ultra x operates at an even higher power than the tip I use. When filming the videos in the glass, they use sparkling water, not hypochlorite. Hypochlorite should be only in the canal. If the cavity is filled with it, the device cannot transfer enough power. By the way, my videos taken in patients’ mouths use hypochlorite, not sparkling water. 😬
